The Court Cards
This work-in-progress page explores the design and symbolism of the Court Cards of the Minor Arcana. Positioned between the abstract structure of the Minor Arcana and the archetypal imagery of the Major Arcana, the Court Cards presented unique artistic and philosophical challenges. Follow the progress on these sixteen cards as I work to create figures that feel psychologically authentic, visually unified with their suits, and grounded in lived human experience.
